Wade Williams began his legal career in 1999 with Winstead Sechrest & Minick, PC (now Winstead), where he developed a broad real estate practice. He has also served as in-house counsel to a large, NYSE-listed, Houston-based REIT with assets primarily in retail shopping centers and industrial properties, as well as in-house project real estate counsel to a Houston-based wind energy company with projects operating or in construction or development in more than a dozen states. Since opening his own firm in 2007, Wade’s practice has focused on real estate, energy and business-related matters.
Wade was born and raised in Young County, Texas, where both sides of his family settled shortly after the Civil War and where he attended the Graham, Texas, public schools. He received three degrees from the University of Texas at Austin: BA in English (with high honors) 1989, MA in English (1993) and JD (with honors) in 1999. He was a James Michener Fellow at the Texas Center for Writers from 1991 to 1994. He is the father of two children and lives in north central Texas.
